Mission

The common denominator mission of movements and projects of the likes of The Zeitgeist Movement, The Venus Project, The Free World Charter, The RBE10K Project, and various others is to, explained in very general and simplistic terms, raise awareness about and/or implementation plans provide the means for Humanity to avoid collapse as a result of constant growth in a finite planet through sustainable practices, using science and technology to assist in the implementation of those sustainable practices. Sustainability in this context does not mean the general notion of more sustainable, or less wasteful, that is prevalent in the modern world, but a realistic and measurable objective that requires a number of actions to be both achieved and maintained by Humanity as a whole, or at least in its majority. For this purpose, they all propose the implementation of a social and economic system that the social engineer and inventor Jacque Fresco coined a Resource-Based Economy, or Resource-Based Economic Model, or simply RBE.

Resource Based Economy

A Resource Based Economic Model is an emerging economic model based on the works by Jacque Fresco from The Venus Project, Buckminster Fuller from the Buckminster Fuller Institute, and other philosophers and scientists.
